Hi, Amy! I can't remember exactly when it returned. Maybe after 7 months? I followed my pediatricians advice about stretching out nighttime feedings until Henry was sleeping through the night (I've posted the exact recommendations in earlier posts). I want to say he was sleeping from 7:30pm to 7am around six or seven months. I'm pretty sure that's why my period came back even though I breastfed Henry until he was 14 months-old.

If you've found something that works you might not be inclined to change but I've had success with a bit of dampened baking soda. Cheap and easy, and no scary aluminum if you buy the right stuff!

Will certainly spread the word, and make a few purchases for my family and others. You are so right about there not being enough concrete, pragmatic literature out there that shows how to impliment Montessori in the home. Even with my AMI degree, I had trouble reading through the esoteric lines to find a more step by step approach for what to do (or not do!) with my infant now toddler.

I have to change my car insurance too! For my Prius (woo hoo!) my car insurance is now $100/month. I got a quote from Progressive that was half that! And I'm pretty sure it's the same coverage. Just have to make the time to go through the switch process, ugh.

Thanks for this tip! I just ordered some. All the deodorant reviews (and even friend's tips) all recommended Tom's of Maine, which never works well enough for me if I'm teaching yoga or just being outside at all during the summer. I'm looking forward to trying this!

I've had success using magnesium oil as a spray on my body a few times a day to keep body odor down.

I also use apple cider vinegar on my armpits after a shower and then on non shower days use a baking soda/coconut oil homemade deodorant. Before the magnesium oil, I could never use anything but antiperspirant.

My husband and I LOVE Aubrey's Men Stock (they make one for Ladies too, but I prefer the "Mens" scent) Natural Dry Herbal Pine Deodorant. It's the best natural deodorant we've ever used (maybe the best deodorant I've ever used)-- some of the ones we've used in the past actually make me feel more stinky!It smells woodsy and a little like Christmas, it's a little under $8 at our grocery store but since it's a spray my husband and I use the same bottle and it last us a few months.

By the way, I'd love a pregnancy update-- I'm due the week after you and have been following your blog since my husband and I started to try to conceive. I love Tate's products. One of the great things about Tate's is that most of their products have multiple uses. For example, I use the Shampoo and Conditioner to wash and moisturize my face. Hi, Heather Lynn! I think getting it from the library would be good. It's worth flipping through. The premise is really strong and interesting, and there are some pretty samples. I always find gardening books a little less than completely helpful because gardening can vary so much from state to state, city to city, and even side of town to side of town.

I really liked this post and agree with most of the others that you've done well at writing non-offensive content. DH and I are thinking about trying for #3 this Fall. My first son was unplanned so no conscious prep there and my second was planned with some effort in preparation. I really like all of your suggestions but think that financial planning is also important in the process. Does Matt do anything to prepare?
